Space Shuttle "Atlantis" is one of the three NASA Space Shuttles. This spacecraft is named after the twin-masted sailship, that flew between 1930 and 1966. Served as a research vessel at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The first electronic devices for examining the seabed were tested on this sail vessel. Built by Southern California-based Rockwell International and delivered to the Kennedy Space Center in 1985. April "Atlantis" first took off in 1985 on October 3, during the STS-51-J space mission. This spacecraft is almost 3.5 tons lighter, than "Columbia". It is made with a thoughtful use of available construction experience, with twice as little work, as the "Columbia". He launched many secret satellites, the purpose of which nothing is known, as well, as various significant instruments for space research ("Magellan",  "Galileo", "CGRO" and others). It was the first shuttle to connect with the "Mir" station. From "Mir", he has brought back Shannon Lucid, who spent a record number of days (188) there. "Atlantis" also carried many critical components of the ISS to the site. The last flight took place in 2011. July 8, during space mission "STS-135". The Shuttle orbited the Earth a total of 4,848 times, covering nearly 203,000,000 km, or 525 times the distance from the Earth to the Moon. It was the last spacecraft of the Space Shuttle program to fly. One of the most perfect DNAKL paper models is offered. The design of the model lasted almost 6 months.

The model features a highly detailed cockpit interior, retractable landing gear, movable control planes and elevons, and an opening cargo compartment, that accommodates a highly detailed model of the "Magellan" interplanetary ship. The publication includes a poster for the launch of "Atlantis". There are many photos, that show DNKL during construction and launch, in orbit, and a number of photos of the model itself in various stages of gluing. Assembly instructions are available in Czech, German and English. Model for intermediate and advanced modelers only.
