The lineship "De Zeven Provincien" - "The 7 Provinces" - was built in 1665 in Rotterdam as the new flagship for the famous Dutch admiral Michael de Ruyter (1607 - 1676), who sailed on it in 1666 - 1674. The ship's hull dimensions were 163 x 43 x 16.5 Amsterdam feet (46.13 x 12.17 x 4.67 m) with a displacement of 1,600 tons. The ship is armed with 80 cannons, the crew consisted of 420 sailors. The ship is named after the 7 provinces of the Netherlands, which fought in the 80-year liberation war against Spain in 1568-1648. The united state also got rid of the Catholic Church and got rid of the nobility. The ship is so named in honor of the organization, that won its right to exist without a sovereign king in 1649-1672. In the same year William III, Duke of Oran, who later became King William III of England (1650 – 1702), returned to Holland. The ship fought in the Second (1665 – 1667) and Third (1672 – 1674) English-Dutch Wars, participating in the 4 Days Battle 1666, the Two Days Battle 1666, the Chatham Raid 1667, the Battle of Solebay (1672), the Battle of Schoenewald (1673) and in battle near Texel (1673). In 1674 the ship visited the West Indies, in 1692 it fought in the Battle of Barflo, where it was badly damaged and broken up in 1694.

The model is of the highest level of complexity, well designed and richly detailed, decorated with a large number of figures and carved decorations. The graphic instruction is excellent - each step of the model assembling is shown, the sequence of gluing all the parts and their place in the model, each cable has its own start, specified course and has its own fastening nail or other device or rigging. The body of the model is designed with 1 and 2 cladding.
