"Poltava" is a Russian 54-gun 4th-rank line-ship, launched on June 15, 1712 from the docks of the St. Petersburg "Admiralty Shipyard". Russian Tsar Peter I personally participated in the construction of the ship. The ship was named in honor of the famous victory, that the Russian army achieved against the Swedes in the Battle of Poltava and became the first ship, built in the new shipyard. During its service in 1612-1632, "Poltava" was included in the composition of the Baltic Fleet. By the end of the Great Northern War, the line-ship participated in six naval companies (1713-1717 and 1721). Later, he participated in the Kronstadt escadra's practical marches in the Baltic Sea. During his service in "Poltava", the Russian Tsar Peter I himself raised his flag twice. The 54-gun line-ship "Poltava" was designed and completed at the end of 1709 personally by Peter I and the later famous shipbuilder Fedosiey Moiseyevich Skliaev. When designing the ship, both masters used the latest shipbuilding practices of their time in Russia and abroad. According to the finished drawing, on December 5, 1709, Peter I personally laid the first keel part of "Poltava" at the shipyard. On January 16, 1929, the Admiralty Board sent a message to the Central Secret Service, that "Poltava" and 5 other line-ships "are unfit for service due to rot, and there is nowhere to repair them, until new docks are built in Kronstadt." Having not received the necessary repairs, "Poltava" was dismantled in 1732.

A large, complex, well-designed and richly detailed ship model for real "sea wolves". There is a reserve of colors and textures, sails and flags are double-sided printing.
