The artillery ship was launched at the Stockholm shipyard in 1886 for the Russian navy, the ship was launched on August 7 of the same year, and in 1888 it entered service, where it was named "Korejets". Under this project, 9 ships were built, which are assigned to the Baltic and Black Sea Fleets. “Korejets” was later transferred to the Far East, where he took part in the international forces “campaign to quell the boxers” uprising in June 1900. Before the start of the Russo-Japanese War, in 1904, together with the first-class cruiser “Variag”, it was based in the Korean port of Chemulpo. From there, on February 8, 1904, he was sent to Port-Arthur with a post office to a deputy, but a Japanese squadron blocked the port and blocked his way. On February 9, both Russian ships tried to break out of the port and entered an uneven battle with the entire squadron. “Korejets” was only involved in the final part of the battle, when they covered “Variag” retreat. To prevent the ship from being taken over, the crew blew it up in a Cemulpo raid after the battle.
Although small, it is a sophisticated, well-designed and detailed model of a beautiful ship for moderately experienced and experienced modelers. Most of the complexity comes from the rigging and sailing equipment, although the hull itself has some pretty complex shapes. The sails and flags are double-side printed on thinner paper, double-sided printing, also, used for details, where necessary.
