The building of the barkentine prototype B-79 was completed in 1980. It is named after the lake near Dabrawa Gornicza - "Pogoria". Owned by the “Brotherhood of the Iron Shekel”, founded by Adam Jaser, the organization is engaged in teaching young people how to sail. In the same year, he participated in the “Cutty Sark Tall Ships Races” regatta. Later he sailed to Antarctica. In the winter of 1983/1984, a trip to India and back started the "School under Sail" program. In the following years, "Pogoria" made voyages from Canadian ports with Canadian youth teams, from where it returned in 1991. Soon “Gdynia Sailing Foundation” became the owner, and since 1995 – “Sail Training Association Poland”. The sailship sailed in the waters around Europe and the North Atlantic. He took part in the "Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race" several times, during which he also visited Klaipėda. In 1999 he won the most important trophy of this regatta. In 2007 "Pogoria" sailed in the Mediterranean Sea, where she spent several winters. The sailship is still serving its purpose.
A medium difficulty well designed model of a small, but beautiful sailship for medium advanced and advanced modelers. However, by making a slightly simplified model and working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model will be perfectly assembled even by a beginner or a modeler with little experience. Sails are printed on thin paper and double-sided printing.
