In 1933, one of the world's most famous and beautiful 20th century sail ships was built at Hamburg's „Blohm und Voss” shipyard. In honor of Hans Kinau, a popular and one of the most readable German writers of the time, who wrote under the nickname Gorch Fock, the sailship was named after this nickname. A second ship of series, named “Horst Vessel”, was also built. Prior to the war, the “Gorch Fock” was a training ship in Kriegsmarine and was based in the port of Kiel. At the end of the war, the barks were sunk by the Germans in the Baltic Sea near Stralsund. In 1946, it was erected by USSR divers and taken over by the USSR as part of its reparative property. His co-type went to the U.S. and there, renamed the “Eagle”, still sails under the U.S. Coast Guard flag as a cadet training ship. In 1958, the Germans, using surviving drawings, built a new bark at the same shipyard, also called “Gorch Fock”. The old sailing ship, repaired at the Wismar shipyard, sailed under the new flag (USSR) and under the new name “Tovarišč” (“Friend”) to the USSR, where it was used to train future sailors. Kherson became his port of registry. “Tovarišč” sails mainly in the Black Sea, but often also sails to the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The ship often participates in large-scale sailing races organized by “OpSail”. When fall the USSR, the ship was left without an owner and ruined. But he was pleased - he was bought by German sailing enthusiasts, restored, restored to its original name “Gorch Fock” (the new sailship was renamed “Gorch Fock II”) and now stands as an exhibit in one of the maritime museums, which is expected to be repaired in the future to the condition of the floating vessel.

A large, beautiful, well-designed and richly detailed model of a sailing ship for real "sea wolves". The publication is completed with laser-cut carcass parts, made of 1 mm thick cardboard. One sheet of 1 mm thick cardboard is also included. Reedition is corrected both graphically and in detail the model, the sails are printed on thin paper with twin side printing.
