Sea yacht "Zawisza Czarny" was bought by the Polish Harzer Union (the equivalent of the Scout Union in interwar Poland) in 1934 in Denmark. This schooner was built in Sweden in 1902 (maybe 1901) and was called "Petrea" and was adapted for sailing in the arctic seas. The sailing ship was repaired by the Harzers and adapted for training sailship and it was used for such purposes until the beginning of World War II. Its captain was Mariusz Zaruski. In 1935 - 1939 he made 16 voyages, visited 27 ports, 10 countries and sailed about 14,000 sea miles. “Zawisza Czarny” was captured by the Germans in September 1939 and used for a short time, then left neglected and unused. The ship found after the war was no longer suitable for repair and was sunk in Puck Bay in 1949.
The model is well designed and detailed, of moderate complexity, so we recommend it only for experienced and intermediate modellers, but with the supervision of a more experienced colleague and a little simplification, it can also be glued by a less experienced modeler. The model is characterized by a considerable number of details and their careful detailing, technological assembly of nodes.
