"Grosse Jacht" (sometimes also called "Goldene Jacht" or "Nouwe Jacht") was built in Kolobrzeg in 1678-1679 by shipwright “Gillis C. Peckelhering” for the Elector of Brandenburg Friedrich Wilhelm. The nautical yacht of Duke William III of Orange is taken as an example. In 1680 he was based in the port of Pilau (present-day Baltijsk), in 1693 he sailed to Amsterdam, from where, after visiting the Lower Rhine, he sailed to Emden in 1694. Later, he took Baron Thomas von Dunkelmann, the envoy of the Land of Brandenburg, to London. Until the end of its days, it was based either in Berlin or Emden, where it was dismantled in 1721.
Although small, it is a beautiful and rather complex model due to its rich decoration, which should not be attempted by modelers with little experience. Although, without highlighting the decoration and under the supervision of a more experienced modeler, they could still make this model stick together quite easily.
