The schooner “Vlissingen” was built in the Netherlands in 1917 and bought in 1926 by the Polish Navy, where it was named the ORP “Iskra”. After being converted to a training ship, he began service under the Polish Navy flag on May 6, 1928. Prior to the war, he made a number of training trips to the United States in the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas and the Atlantic Ocean in 1930th. The “Iskra” war struck the Mediterranean. Prior to the French occupation, it was based in Casablanca and Port Lyautey, and from June 27, 1940, in Gibraltar, where it served as a base for torpedo cutters and submarines, called the HMS “Pigmy”. “Iskra” returned to Poland on July 1, 1948. Until 1974, he served his previous purpose as a training ship for Navy in Poland. Deleted from the lists on November 26, 1977, dismantled in 1981.

Although a sailship, it is not the most complex, so as one of the first sailships, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model can be glued by an advanced beginner modeler. And for those experienced, this model is how to unwrap candy. The sails and flag are printed on both sides.
