The construction of the Royal Galleon “Vasa” at “Blasieholmen Shipyard” took three years and was completed in 1628. The best Swedish ship, according to the will of King Gustav Adolf II, was to cause fear and amazement. The astonishment of the 68 cannons on the three decks, many carved figures painted in gold and painted in various colors, was to be feared. But drowned in the port without sailing a mile due to poorly calculated weights and reloading in the upper part of the hull. Lying on the bottom until 1956, it was raised - the lifting process lasted until April 24, 1961. This was followed by a long period of conservation and reconstruction work, before the “Vasa” Museum was opened in Stockholm in 1990, where it is housed.
A complex model, that requires a lot of work, attention and patience, which is further complicated by the small number of drawings. Only for experienced and experienced "sea wolves".
