SKM Warszawa EZT 35WE "Impuls" - the Polish urban electric train

Modern, comfortable and safe - this is how passengers respond to the new SKM Warszawa EZT 35WE "Impuls" local electric passenger trains, operating on four metropolitan lines. They were produced by two companies: "PESA" from Bydgoszcz and the company "Newag". The set, presented in the publication is the 35WE "Impuls" - a product completely designed and manufactured by the Polish "Newag". According to the designers and production engineers, when manufacturing these structures, first and foremost attention was paid to travel comfort. Therefore, the 35WЕ design contains a number of solutions, that have not been used before, so even a short trip with them leaves an indelible impression. The trains are 113.6 m long, equipped with monitoring and air conditioning systems, the latest generation passenger information systems, adapted to the needs of disabled passengers. During the production of structures, Warsaw SKM paid attention to the reduction of operating costs. The aerodynamic silhouette and energy return to the grid during braking make “Impuls” electric trains much more economical, compared to their predecessors. The 35WE has four drive and intermediate carriages each. The electric train is powered by 8 electric motors with a total power of 3,200 kW, allowing it to reach a speed of up to 160 km/h.

Medium difficulty long model without internal equipment. Not recommended for beginner modelers, and recommended for low to medium experience modelers to glue under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. By the way, in three wagons, the inscriptions on the sides need to be changed, since all the wagons are the same, but in reality they must be symmetrical in pairs. The publication gives details for only three wagons, so two magazines are needed for the complete set, but it is possible to hide the missing part of the train in a city or field tunnel, the front details of which are given in the magazine, and the construction of the tunnels themselves will have to be made independently.
