NEWAG 221 “Pomorskie Railways” – the Polish diesel regional train.

SA138 belongs to the 220M/221M family of two- and three-wagon diesel regional transportation normal gauge passenger trains - railbuses - manufactured by the New Chance plant "NEWAG". In 2010-2014 this company produced 9 two-wagon and 5 three-wagon trains. These are single-space structures, intended for regional passenger transportation on non-electrified lines. Each member has one sliding door 1300 mm wide, which is installed low-floor in the 600 mm clearance section of the wagon. One retractable step is installed under each door, which facilitates the conditions of disembarking and boarding from low platforms. Above the motorized carriages, located at the ends of the set, there is a high-floor part of the wagons, the height of which is 1200 mm. One wagon is equipped in such a way, that it can serve disabled passengers - it is equipped with ramps for wheelchairs, toilets adapted to the needs of disabled people and a changing cabin for babies. The seats are arranged in groups in the high-floor part, in rows in the low-floor part. In one of wagons 6 bicycle mounts are installed, electrical sockets, passenger information system, air conditioning and monitoring systems. The interior of the carriages is heated by convection liquid heaters, installed under the seats along the walls.

A simple, small, well-detailed model, that can be made even by beginners and modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Despite the fact, that the model is simple, it will require a lot of hard work and patience. The model has a perfectly detailed chassis, exterior detailing. Control cabins, passenger cabins and engine compartments are not detailed. The model reproduces the set of three wagons, operated by the “Pomorskie Kolej” company.
