PESA „LINK“ „Polregio“ – the Polish diesel regional train.

Type 223M rail buses were produced in 2014-2015 at the "PESA" factory, located in the city of Bydgoszcz. These are standard gauge diesel passenger trains. The formations are formed from one, two or three wagons. “LINK” is operated by “Lower Silesian Railways”, “Greater Poland Voivodeship Railways” and “Polregio” in Poland, “Ceskie Drahy” in the Czech Republic and “Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn” and “Deutsche Bahn” in Germany. "LINK" has a maximum speed of up to 120 km/h and can transport up to 126 seated passengers in modern and comfortable carriages. The air-conditioned control cabin can be entered through a separate door. “LINK”s popularity is due to its very modern design, which has been highly rated at international railway equipment fairs. The structures are partially underground, an additional step facilitates boarding and alighting on low platforms, the underground part has places for disabled passengers with wheelchairs and toilets, adapted to their needs. There is also space for transporting bicycles and baby carriages. These railbuses can operate under high passenger load conditions, a maximum of three wagons can be combined, new wagons can be combined with older "PESA" production wagons. The two-wagon “LINK” is powered by two 390 kW diesel engines. The basic version is designed for driving at a speed of 120 km/h, but it is possible to adapt the setups for speeds of 140 and 160 km/h.

A simple, small, well-detailed model, that can be made even by beginners and modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Despite the fact ,that the model is simple, it will require a lot of hard work and patience. The model has a perfectly detailed chassis, exterior detailing. Control cabins, passenger cabins and engine compartments are not detailed. The model reproduces the two-wagon set, operated by “Polregio”.
