Ty 2 - German freight train (normalized 52 series) steam locomotive, produced in several factories in Germany and its occupied European territory (also in Poland) in 1942 - 1945. Also known as the German military train locomotive "Kriegslokomotive". The purpose of this simplified, cheap to manufacture and reliable steam locomotive was to be railway transportation in the occupied territories of the Third Reich in the east. Therefore, these locomotives had improved thermal insulation and an axle load not exceeding 15 tons. The second feature allowed them to haul trains on poor quality or temporarily repaired railways. After the fall of the Third Reich, 1,207 steam locomotives of this type began work at the Polish PKP. Due to the lack of locomotives as early as 1962, Poland was forced to repurchase 220 of these machines from the USSR. 200 of them are assigned to PKP, 20 to PMP PW in Katowice. From 1945 until the end of the era of steam locomotives, it was the most numerous series of steam locomotives in Poland. 54 steam locomotives of this series are preserved in Poland to this day, some of them are still in operation in museums or are being repaired to this condition.

A complex, well-detailed, well-designed model of a steam locomotive for intermediate and advanced modellers. The model perfectly reproduces the chassis, cabin equipment and exterior detailing of the locomotive and tender. There is a considerable stock of colors. The print quality is simply exemplary.
