VL-19 is a Soviet interwar electric locomotive, which was produced in 1932-1938. In total about 145 copies of this locomotive were produced. The weight of the locomotive was up to 120 tons, the total length was up to 16.22 meters, the width was 3.1 meters. The design speed of the locomotive was 85 km/h, and the diameter of its wheels was 1220 millimeters. The locomotive was adapted to run on 1524 mm gauge railways. The VL-19 locomotive was the first electric locomotive, produced on a large scale and used for civilian purposes in the history of the USSR and Russia in general. Although originally designed to haul freight trains, in practice it was a general-purpose locomotive, used on freight and passenger trains. It is worth adding, that the name of the locomotive comes from the desire to commemorate the leader of the Bolsheviks of the October Revolution, Vladimir Lenin (VL), and the number 19 means the load of one axle in tons.

Not very complex, but small and well detailed and also well designed model of a small electric locomotive, that can be built by a modeler of any experience. Only an advanced beginner and a modeler with little experience would be good to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and simplify something. The model has a detailed driver's cab, engine compartment equipment, chassis, frame, current take-up equipment, which can be made movable, or raised, or lowered. It is possible to choose one of the three color variants of the model: blue, green or "Arktika" version. The instructions, both textual (in Polish and Russian) and graphical, are excellent, informative and detailed. There is a large stock of colors, details of railway sleepers with rails.
