ČS7 (Russian: ЧС7 - ЧехоCловацкого производство, тип 7 - Czechoslovak production, type 7), factory designation - from 82E1 to 82E9, slang names - "garden of riddles", "Challenger". ČS7 – two-section eight-axle 3 kW direct current electric locomotive for hauling passenger trains. Produced from 1983 to 1997 at the Škoda factory in Pilsen for the railways of the Soviet Union (later - Russia and Ukraine). 321 electric locomotives were produced, most of which were still in active use in 2019. This is one of the most powerful electric locomotives of direct current passenger trains, used in the railways of the USSR, and the power was second only to the ČS200 and ČS6. These electric locomotives hauled high-speed long-distance passenger trains on the busiest passenger lines with a gauge of 1520 mm and electrified constant current applications of 3 kW. Unlike the electric locomotives ČS200 and ČS6, on the basis of which they were built, ČS7 is more oriented to pull longer heavy passenger trains, but at a lower speed. ČS7 has an analogue using an alternating current of 25 kW - ČS8, which in terms of the design of the mechanical part and externally practically does not differ from ČS7 (only the arrangement of windows, the equipment on the roof and shorter length and the design of the trolley frames differ), but due to the lower current parameters in the contact network, it develops a higher the power. At the same time, according to the design of the electrical part, it is very similar to the ČS4T electric locomotive.
A small, well-detailed and fairly complex model for intermediate and advanced modelers only. The publication contains details for one section of the electric vehicle.
