ČME3 – shunting diesel locomotive with electric drive and axle formula 3o-3o. In the fifties of the 20th century intensive replacement of steam locomotives with electric locomotives and diesel locomotives took place in the railways of the USSR. But the change of traction only on the lines could not give a full economic effect, as long, as the shunting functions were performed by steam locomotives, because the equipment for the maintenance and repair of steam locomotives had to remain in the depots. Initially, production of 4-axle shunting locomotives was started, but their traction and traction power were too low, so in 1963 the Czechoslovak factory "ČKD-Praha" began production of two experimental shunting locomotives T669, which, according to the USSR marking system, received the marking ČME3 ("Czechoslovakian shunting with electric drive, type 3). After the tests, after adjusting the design according to their results, a trial series of 10 locomotives was produced in 1964 and their serial production began in 1965. These locomotives were used (and are still used) in the railways of the USSR, wherever freight trains were made, including in the Lituanian SSR and in the enterprises of the already independent Lituania, where they are still used.

A well-detailed model of medium complexity, that can only be made by a moderately experienced and experienced modeler. The interior of the control cabins, the chassis and the exterior detailing have been perfectly restored. Engine compartment detailing is not available. After working with computer editing programs, You can make the best model of the shunting locomotive, used by "Lietuvos Geležinkeliai" or any Lituanian company.
