EU 07 (type 4E, 303E, 303Eb and 303Ec) are the most popular standard gauge universal electric locomotives in Poland, mainly used for hauling passenger trains. Produced at the Polish factory "Pafawag" in Wroclaw and at the Ciegelski factory in Poznań, based on the locomotive EU 06 documentation in the years 1964 - 1974 and 1983 - 1992under the license of the English company "English Electric". Production of these locomotives began in 1963 at the “Pafawag” factory, where they are marked with the 4E designation. These locomotives are practically identical to the EU 06, which was built in England. Several improvements have been made, compared to the predecessor, the most important of which is the heating of the driver's cabin from the mains 3000 V voltage current, instead of from the 110 V from the generator (as was the case in EU 06). This type of locomotive was produced until 1974 and was stopped, when the production of ET 22 started. 240 units were produced out of the planned 300 in 1976 – 1977. 4 EP 08 series locomotives were connected to the EU 07 series, converted to type 4E. In 1983 EU 07 production resumed again, only this time at the Hipolit Ciegelski factory in Poznań. These locomotives are based on the twin ET41 locomotive (type 203E), which originated from the type 4E. The new locomotives were more modernized and received a new factory designation - 303E. 243 units of this type of machine were produced. Serial production continued until 1992. Some outdated solutions have not been removed in type 303E locomotives.
A well-detailed model of medium complexity, that can be made even by modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Despite the fact, that the model is well detailed, it is made up of simple shapes, it has a well-detailed driver's cab (which a less experienced modeler may not do), the chassis is quite complex and requires a lot of work, care and patience.
