Locomotive Bn2t "Hutnik" was created at the “Fablok” factory by order Chrzanuwe Huta "Jedność" from Siemianowice Śląskie. Design work on the locomotive began in 1956, in the same year production began, which continued until 1958, with the production of about 10 rail vehicles of this type. The main problem in the design of the Bn2t “Hutnik” was, that the locomotive had to be adapted to run on 630 mm gauge rails and had to be relatively low. The customer specified the maximum height of the locomotive as 220 centimeters. However, the “Fablok” plant was able to cope with the task and the produced Bn2t “Hutnik” steam locomotives were used until 1991. One of the steam locomotives, that served his time, is now on display in the Narrow gauge railway museum in Sochachew, and the other stands in front of the railway station in the city of Tlusch.
A small, not very complex, but well-designed and almost maximally detailed model of a steam locomotive, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, can be perfectly assembled by modelers with little experience.
