The first electric locomotives in Germany were produced in the second half of the XIX century. Their chassis scheme was often copied from steam locomotives - power was transmitted by blind shafts and connecting rods - and the engines were heavy and of low power. The rapid development of electric motors at the turn of the XIXth and XXth centuries meant, that their design was drastically reduced, while the power kept increasing. Narrow-gauge electric locomotives, manufactured by Siemens “Halsk”e in the XXth century initially with the then very popular two-axle configuration. The power of its engines reached 115 h. p. and were driven by a constant electric current of 500 V voltage. The model recreates the locomotive, that worked at the Bytom steel foundry "Julia" and transported raw materials and products on the factory's 785 mm gauge railway.
A well-detailed model of medium complexity, that can also be simplified (suitable for beginners and less experienced modelers, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague). The model has a perfectly detailed chassis, driver's cab, exterior detailing, engine compartments are not detailed.
