This submarine, a gigantic 22-meter medicine capsule-shaped ship, is the first child of the Spanish submarine fleet. A submarine built in 1888 in "Arsenale de la Caracca" in Cádiz, could move at a speed of 11 knots on the surface, and a speed of 10 knots submerged. The technical innovation was, that the propellers were turned by electric motors, that were powered by batteries, the power of the motors reached 30 h. p. everyone. A unique at that time torpedo apparats was installed in the front of the ship. The highest recorded immersion depth is 30 m. The construction of the Spanish submarine meant a serious breakthrough not only in national military technology. Great interest in this type of ship was shown by the British, but the Spanish military decided not to put this project into mass production. The first ship was completed in 1888. September 8. The next two years were devoted to various experiments and tests at sea, the submarine behaved properly in all modes. After the change of government, the new defense minister was not satisfied with the results and closed the project. In 1891 the author of the project, Isaac Peral, retired from the Spanish Navy at his own request. In 1895 he and his family left for Berlin and the disused ship languished and decayed in transit between numerous storage locations. In 2012 December 15 it was transferred to the Naval Museum of Carthage, where, after restoration, since 2013 was opened for inspection in September.

Two easy-to-assemble, well-designed and highly detailed Isaac Peral submarine models, designed for modelers of all experience - perfect even for beginners. The level of detail is the maximum possible, but the models do not consist of many details. The publication includes sheets with double-side printing, a reserve of colors and textures, excellent graphic instructions, two full models can be made from the publication: 1:50 or 1:100 scale.
