The S-7 submarine (commander - lieutenant S.P. Lisin) met the beginning of the war in the Irben Strait. Two days later the first battle with the enemy forces took place: the boat attacked by the "schnellboats" received many fragmentation holes and returned to Vindava. This boat became part of a detachment of ships, that were supposed to be transferred along the Neva to the North, but the exit of the Germans to the Neva put an end to this idea. In the autumn the boat went out to shell coastal targets in Narva Bay and in the winter of 1941-1942 spent in Kronstadt. In July 1942 having crossed the Yuminda minefield at night on the surface, S-7 headed for Norrköping Bay in order to prevent German cargo transportation through Swedish territorial waters. On July 9 the first combat success came - the Swedish steamer “Nicolaus” was torpedoed and sank with a cargo of coal. On July 11 the “Luleo” ore carrier suffered the same fate, after which the C-7 was subjected to an inconclusive attack by Swedish guards. On August 5 C-7 returned to the Uzhava lighthouse, where they sankby artillery fire the Finnish steamer “Pochjanlachti” with a cargo of potatoes. On August 11 the boat returned safely to Kronstadt. The next and last trip of the submarine began two months later - on October 19, 1942. Two days after leaving Lavensar, the commander reported, that he had overcome the minefield, after which he was to take up a position in the Gulf of Bothnia. No more radiograms were received from the S-7 boat...

A medium-complexity, well-designed and richly detailed model of the “S-7” submarine for modelers of all experience levels. Only advanced beginners and less experienced modelers are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and this model should not be one of the first more complex models in Your modeling career.
