The "By the Lake" diorama reflects the idyll of People's Poland (and, I think,- other countries of the socialist bloc), when trips to the countryside were fashionable. They had to be organized by themselves and usually went to gardens, homesteads or relatives in the village. Trips to camping, tent camping or holiday homes were also popular. If there was a lake nearby, you could feel like you were in paradise. Own car (in this case a Polish “Polonez”), marina, cabins, tents and yachts - a real dream come true.
And it can be made by any beginner or low-experience modeler without anyone's help and supervision.
