The 40 mm “Bofors” anti-aircraft gun was originally designed to order by the Swedish Navy. The prototype was made in 1930. Its constructors are Victor Hammer and Emanuel Janson. But the Navy adopted another “Bofors” cannon for armaments. A new gun was rebuilt and adapted for the Army and marked as a 40 mm “Bofors” model 1934. Delegations from foreign armies soon began to visit the factory frequently, and the armed forces of many states expressed a desire to acquire these cannons. Many of them, including Lithuania, managed to acquire them.

A rather complicated and well-designed model, depicts the Polish twentieth century cannon, used in the late thirties. A modeler, who has made several not very complicated models, should cope with this model.
