SU-57 (T-48) is an American World War II light self-propelled gun, built on the chassis of the M3 semi-tracked armored transporter. The cannon was produced in 1942 after the joint Anglo-American Armaments Commission proposed such an idea. The prototype was armed with a British-made 6-pounder (57 mm) gun, manufactured in the US under license under the designation M1. The US Army did not adopt the machine in its arsenal. But it was decided to produce them for the British army. In 1943 “White Motor Co.” in Cleveland and “Diamond T Motor Car Co.” in Chicago produced 962 guns. 680 of them were sent to Britain, but did not find wider use there, because it was believed, that the 57 mm cannon was not enough to destroy heavy German tanks. Most of the self-propelled guns (650 units), painted with original camouflage, were sent to the USSR under the Lend-Lease agreement, where they were adopted by the Soviet Army under the designation SU-57. Several vehicles of this type were also in the Polish People's Army, in the 7th separate self-propelled artillery division. The last exemplars were removed from the arsenal at the end of the 50s.

A complex, well-detailed model, that requires care and attention, only for intermediate and experienced modelers. Model with interior detailization, perfectly restored engine compartment, perfectly restored all exterior and chassis details. From the publication You can make one of two SU-57 models from the 7th Separate Self-Propelled Artillery Division: 504 - January 1945 (Warsaw vicinity) and 509 - May 1945 (Berlin operation).
