„UAZ-451DM“ – the Soviet/ Russian/ Lithuanian light cargo truck

Cars "UAZ-451" and "UAZ-451DM" with rear driving wheels (4x2 type), capable of carrying a load of up to 1000 kg, represent a family of unified cars, produced at the UAZ plant since 1965. The main units of these trucks are unified with the cars of the UAZ-452 family and are intended for operation on roads of all classes. The car "UAZ-451DM" is a cargo vehicle, designed to transport various types of cargo. The driver's cabin is metal, two-seater, wooden platform with three folding sides. The internal dimensions of the platform are 2600x1870x 424 mm, the "451" family is mainly used in the folk farm. In Moscow and other large cities, bodies were installed on their base - vans for the transportation of food and industrial goods. "Uazik" are also used as delivery vehicles, serving small trading points. They were also widely used in the Lithuanian SSR farm and were still found in already independent Lithuania, but quite rarely.

Complex model, recommended only for intermediate and experienced modelers. Where necessary, details are double-sided printed. The model is well designed and well detailed with an engine compartment, excellent cockpit interior detailing, well restored chassis and all exterior details. Due to the rather complex shapes of the cabin, even a simplified version of the model may prove too difficult for less experienced modelers - even when working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
