The history of the lighthouse in the Northern Port of Gdańsk is closely connected with one of the largest investments of the Republic of Poland - the construction of the Northern Port. Increased ship traffic in Gdańsk Bay required the building of a new navigation point to replace the small beacon of Gdańsk's New Port, which has been around for almost a century. The location for the lighthouse was chosen on the roof of the Harbor Master's Tower. The lighthouse was turned on June 18, 1984, along with the turning on of lights throughout the New Port. The lighthouse light is visible beyond 25 nautical miles (46.3 km).
An uncomplicated but rather tricky to assembly model. All the difficulties are due to the construction of the frameless model. Therefore, we recommend, that novice modelers assemble this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
