In 1903, after the construction of a bathing complex in Sopot, its chimney was placed in the middle of the tower so as not to spoil the appearance of the city panorama. A navigation light was later installed there. But it wasn’t until 1977, that a real lighthouse light was lit in the tower, which still works today. The lighthouse is visible for 17 nautical miles (30.5 km).
The model is not complicated and is perfect for beginners and inexperienced modelers. And more experienced modeler can try to "squeeze" more, than the publication gives.
