Rozewie Maritime Lighthouse was built in 1821. Due to the fact, that the light of this lighthouse was often confused with the lighthouse of Czolpino, a second lighthouse was built next to it in 1875, 200 meters away from the first one. Until 1910, two lighthouses were lit at the same time in Rozewie, later the old lighthouse was equipped with electric lighting, and the other lighthouse was extinguished. The bushes, growing around, the protected trees grew so much, that they began to obscure the light of the lighthouse. The tops of the trees were not allowed to be cut down by the voivodship nature reserve. It was proposed to build a higher lighthouse next door, but in the end it was decided to raise the tower by 8 meters, which was done in 1978. In the lighthouse houses the Polish Lighthouse Museum, founded in 1963.
The lighthouse is visible for 26 nautical miles (48.1 km). The model is not complicated and is perfect for beginners and inexperienced modelers. And more experienced people can try to "squeeze" more, than the publication gives
