The building of the Swinoujscie lighthouse, which still stands today, began in 1854, and three years later a light came on its top. Swinoujscie Lighthouse is the tallest on the Polish coast (up to 68 meters high) and one of the tallest in the world. It was originally octagonal in shape. Due to the difficult atmospheric conditions, the bricks, from which the tower was built, began to crack and crumble. From 1902 to 1903, a major overhaul was carried out, during which the tower became round. During World War II, a column of the tower ruptured from nearby explosions during Allied bombings. All violations were removed in 1959 and the lighthouse reopened. Now the lighthouse, although performing its navigational functions, is in poor technical condition and in need of repair. The lighthouse is visible beyond 25 nautical miles (46.3 km).
The model is not complicated and is perfect for beginners and inexperienced modelers. And more experienced people can try to "squeeze" more, than the publication gives.
