The first lighthouse in Jastarnia was built in 1868 - 1869. It was a 25 m high openwork tower. In September 1939, this lighthouse suffered the same fate as the Hell lighthouse - it was blown up by units of the Polish pioneers, as it was a great landmark for German warships, firing on the peninsula. The current lighthouse was built in 1950. It is built of 1.6 m diameter steel pipe, which has long time located at the Stilo lighthouse. The light of the Jastarnia lighthouse is an auxiliary navigational sign between Rozewie and Hell. The lighthouse is visible 15 nautical miles (27.8 km) away.
Two models of the lighthouse can be made from the publication: the larger one - 1:50 scale, and the smaller one - 1: 150 scale. In detail, they are both almost the same, only differing in size. The models are not complicated and are perfect for beginners and inexperienced modelers - even those working without outside help.
