The South Fox Island Lighthouse is located on an island in the northern part of Lake Michigan. The lighthouse (flashing red light) began operating in 1867 in November. In 1934 the brick tower was closed, the lighthouse was moved to a metal tower 100 meters to the southwest. In 1984, a youth initiative group began to take measures to preserve the old lighthouse, and restoration work is currently underway.

The first lighthouse on Cape St. George was built on the island of the same name in 1833 near the narrow entrance to Apalachicola Bay. Ships, approaching from the eastern side of the bay, could not see the lighthouse, so in 1847 Congress appropriated money for a new lighthouse, which was built 2 miles to the southeast. The materials of the old tower were used in the construction of the new tower. In 1851 a hurricane destroyed the tower, the lighthouse was restored in 1851-1852. on pine pile foundations. Building process was accelerated by the use of bricks from the demolished tower. The lighthouse was automated in 1949, and since 1994 no longer in use. In 1995 the hurricane overthrew the tower and it tilted 10 degrees from the vertical. In 2002 a new foundation was made and the slope removed. However, the battle of the waves began to destroy the foundations and on October 22, 2005, the lighthouse collapsed. A group of volunteers pulled 160,000 bricks from the water, cleaned them and rebuilt the lighthouse in the center of the island, which opened to the public in 2008. November 29

Alki Point Lighthouse is located in downtown Seattle, Washington on the southern shore of Elliott Bay. The first European settlement in the Seattle area was established in 1851, in 1887 the first lighthouse-lamp was built on a wooden pole. A few years later, a fog horn was added. The currently standing concrete 37-foot octagonal tower with a fog signal was built in 1913. In the 1960s, the fourth-order Fresnel lens was replaced by more modern optics. The lighthouse still works.

Simple, well designed, detailed enough models of beautiful lighthouses for modelers of all experience. Advanced beginners and modelers with little experience are advised to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Everything can be overcome and done, if you take your time, work patiently, carefully and precisely.
