Recycled from transport or bomber planes are most commonly used for firefighting. But there is one aircraft, specially designed and built for this purpose - the Canadair CL-215. It is a simple, highly durable aircraft, that can be flown in almost any weather, day and night, taking off from ground aerodromes or from the water.
A model of medium complexity, which, in addition to the undercarriage, internal detailing, and simplified engines, can be assembled by modelers with little modeling experience, would only be a good way to have a more experienced colleague around to help with problems. And experienced modelers will add a great model to their collection.
