The P-47 fighter was designed by Alexander Kartveli, an engineer at “Republic Aviation Corporation”, on behalf of the US Army Air Corps. At first it was supposed to be a light fighter - a successor, but later retrained as an escort fighter. The war in Europe has shown, that fighter jets must be well-armored, well-armed and their fuel tanks must be self-sealing. For the first flight, the fighter took off on May 6, 1941, but the prototype had a number of shortcomings and its flight and combat characteristics did not satisfy the customer. Once everything was fixed, the fighter was put into series production and manufactured until the end of the war 15,676 copies of all versions were produced.
A sophisticated model, but without much detail in the engine, cab equipment, and released chassis, this beautiful model can be assembled by novice modelers under the supervision of a more experienced modeler. And for the experienced, all the trump cards in hand. By the way, you can choose one of two painting options.
