One of the best World War I fighters in Sopwith “Triplane”, was built in 1916 by Herbert Smith. To improve visibility to the top of the cockpit, he divided the upper wing of the biplane into two consoles and added a third above them. For the first flight, the prototype took off on May 28, 1916. The tests were successful and the Admiralty ordered 500 units, but only 150 were produced. These aircraft were out of service for a short time and were also pushed out by Sopwith - and the fighter - the biplane “Camel”, which was even better in all respects. Raimond Kolinshav, the commander of the Black Squadron, flew the prototype "Black Death" and 16 victories were achieved, the model of this plane is proposed to you in this publication.
Complicated due to the full design of the wings and the triple plan of the fighter model, we recommend a number of models for assembled modelers.
