The Supermarine “Seafang” is a British deck destroyer, built at the end of World War II and immediately after the war. The aircraft was a low-wing monoplane with a classic retractable undercarriage. For the first time the prototype took to the air in 1946. The plane is equipped with one Rolls-Royce “Griffon” 89 engine, which developed 2350 . hp. Power. The fighter was armed with 4 “Hispano-Suiza” V cannons of 20 mm caliber. The fighter “Seafang” was an improved version of the “Spiteful”, adapted to operate from aircraft carriers and built by “Supermarine” in response to the Air Ministry's April 1945 tender for a new deck-based fighter. Unlike its predecessor, the wings of the “Seafang” were folded in order to reduce the space in the hangar, the rear part was strengthened, which was equipped with a special hook to facilitate landing on the deck of the aircraft carrier, and the latest navigation and communication equipment was installed. Two modifications of the plane were built: F.31 and F.32, powered by the same Rolls-Royce “Griffon” engine, but in different versions. In addition, the F.32 engine turned two counter-rotating propellers, mounted on a common shaft. In total, only about 20 machines of this type were produced (including prototypes).

A medium-complexity, non-traditional fighter model, designed for modelers of all experience levels. However, for modelers with little experience, we recommend sticking it without the cockpit equipment and with the landing gear included. And they should work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
