In the sixties of the 20th century the Israel air force was armed with French “Mirage III” fighters. Cooperation with France was successful and new aircraft were planned to be purchased there to fill the gap in the aviation park, caused by losses in the Six Day War. But after Israel attack on Lebanon in 1968, France imposed an arms embargo on Israel. In order to upgrade its aviation fleet, Israel decided to copy the “Mirage III” fighter. This is how home-made fighter jets "Nasher" appeared. Later, American General Electric J-79-J1E engines were installed in these fighters. In addition to the engine replacement, other improvements were made: additional bearing surfaces were installed on the air intake ducts, the shape of the front fuselage was changed, the wing was modified, the new chassis hatch covers were installed, two additional armament suspension pylons were installed, and two more air intake ducts appeared, improving engine cooling. The new aircraft received the name "Kfir", began serial production and was accepted into the arsenal. It surpassed the “Mirage III” in many characteristics. The model recreates the Israeli AF fighter "Kfir" C2.

A moderately complex well designed and richly detailed medium size model for intermediate to advanced modelers. However, a version without cockpit equipment, with an opaque cabin canopy, undercarriage included, without hanging weapons can be made by a less experienced modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. But it will not be easy.
