In the mid of sixties of the 20th century WSK-PZL began designing a medium-load agricultural plane in Okecie, which was led by Mr. engineer Andrzej Fridrychewicz. For the future "Kruk" ("Raven"), a safe aircraft scheme was chosen, based on the American Piper "Pawnee" - a low-wing aircraft with a working fuel tank in front of the pilot. The high-rise cockpit provided the pilot with an excellent overview, its structure, as a separate element, was mounted on the fuselage frame and accepted most of the loads arising during an emergency landing. For the first time the serial "Kruk" took to the air in September 1976. The plane was used in Poland, exported to DDR, Egypt, Sudan. 130 A-series aircraft were produced. Until 1998, there were several more versions, differing in engine and larger keel, and in 1998 the PZL-106BTU version was built with a turboprop engine. A total of 273 "Kruk" was produced.
A medium-complexity, well-designed and beautiful model airplane, perfect for even the advanced beginner modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Only it does not have to be one of the first more complex models and is done without internal equipment. The most complex here is the engine and agricultural equipment.
