The F-16 prototype took off for the first time on February 2, 1974. Serial production started in 1976. The aircraft has become the main fighter of NATO countries and is used by the armed forces of 26 countries. The design is constantly being improved, and thanks to this, it will serve for a long time in military aviation. More than 4,500 fighters of this type were produced, which is a very large amount in modern military aviation. In 2003 Poland signed an agreement for the purchase of 36 F-16C and 12 F-16D fighters. The planes were manufactured in 2006-2008.
The model represents aircraft's no. 4062 and 4082, which in 2013 took part in the annual “Tiger Meet”, which took place in Norway. Therefore, they were painted with "tiger" camouflage. The model can be assembled in one of 4 options: standard camouflage F-16C, standard camouflage F-16D, "tiger" camouflage F-16C or "tiger camouflage F-16D. The model is quite difficult to glue due to the rather complex frames and the detailization of the whole model and the fuselage shapes. A well-designed and highly detailed model airplane, that we recommend only for intermediate and advanced modelers. A very wide range of hanging weapons.
