Aero L-39 “Albatros” is a Czechoslovak jet training aircraft and light assault aircraft. The L-39 has been designed and manufactured since the 20th century. 6th decade. It first took to the air on November 4, 1968. It replaced the previously used L-29 “Delfin” jet training aircraft. The L-39 was the first second-generation jet training aircraft and one of the first turboprop training aircraft. An improved version of the L-39 is the L-59 “Superalbatros” and L-139. An improved version of the L-159 “ALCA” is currently being produced. More than 2,800 L-39s are currently used by the Air Force in more than 30 countries around the world. The Lithuanian Air Force also uses the L-39. The Aero L-39 is now used as training aircraft for basic and refresher training (it is the most popular jet training aircraft in the world), as light assault aircraft and as private recreational or sport aircraft.

Quite a sophisticated, well-designed and richly detailed model of a beautiful airplane, suitable only for moderately experienced and experienced modelers. The work is complicated by incomplete graphic instructions. With more effort, it is possible to repaint on computer and make the “Albatros” model, used by the Lithuanian Air Force. It is possible to make a version with separate control planes or with continuous wing and tail details.
