In developing the Bf-109D, the designers wanted to see it with a new “Daimler Benz” engine. That engine was fairly simple to manufacture and much more powerful, than the “Junkers” engines, used before. A new three-blade propeller has been introduced along with the engine. Along with the replacement of the engine, the front of the aircraft, the engine cooling system, was rebuilt. The oil cooler is moved from the bottom of the wing under the engine and the oil radiators are mounted under the wing. Replacing the engine greatly improved the flight characteristics of the fighter - the speed increased by 100 km / h. During production, the aircraft was constantly improved and so many versions of it emerged. Starting with the E-4 version, a new cab cover has emerged, consisting of flat surfaces. From version E-7, a pylon was installed under the hull, on which an additional fuel tank with a capacity of 300 l could be hung. This improvement has eliminated “Emily's” main shortcoming: the short time it has been in the combat zone.

A medium-sophisticated model with excellent detail, suitable even for novice modelers, but not as one of the first more sophisticated models. And work should be under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The model depicts an airplane, that owned 1 / JG 27 in North Africa in 1941. It was flown by Hans Joachim in Marseille. It is possible to make a model with separate control planes or with separate ones. There are also engine and armament details, that can also be made in the model.
