The Suchoj Su-25 (NATO code: "Frogfoot") is a single-seat, twin-engine jet attack (ground support) aircraft, developed in the Soviet Union. The prototype made its first flight in February 22, 1975. After the tests, the plane was put into serial production in 1978, in Tbilisi. The Su-25 is said to have been developed into the US AF arsenal on the basis of the rejected Northrop YA-9. The Su-25 is in service with the air forces of many countries; Su-25 was actively used in the war in Afghanistan. It was actively used by the Iraqi AF in 1980-1989, in the Iraq-Iran war. Most of the Iraqi Su-25s were destroyed or retired to Iran in 1991, during the Persian Gulf War. The Su-25 was also used in 1993, in the conflict in Abkhazia, 2001. The Macedonian Air Force used them in the fight against Albanian rebels in 2008. Georgia and Russia used them during the South Ossetian war, Russia and Ukraine - in 2022, in the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. African states, including Ivory Coast, Chad and Sudan, have widely used the Su-25 in local insurgencies and civil wars.

From the publication You can make a Ukrainian AF "pixel" camouflage painted aircraft, used (and maybe still used) during the war with Russia. The model, although well designed, quite richly detailed, well "armed", is not very complex. Therefore, it can be assembled even by less experienced modelers, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Even an advanced beginner can glue it together with the help of a more experienced colleague, but in this case we recommend, that You do the interior of the cabin, the open niches of the chassis and the chassis itself and the hanging weapons only as a test: - it will work - we make a full version, it won't work - we don't make the cabin equipment, we make the cabin's canopy opaque, undercarriage included, weapons not attached yet... The model represents a well-used aircraft, there is no color stock. Graphical and textual instructions, although not very large, but sufficient and quite detailed.
