North American B-25 "Mitchell" - an American medium bomber of World War II. It is an all-metal high-wing monoplane with a three-point landing gear with a front wheel and a twin tail. The plane is equipped with two Wright "Cyclon" engines, whose power is from 1300 h. p. until 1850 h. p. depending on the version. The first flight of the prototype took place in 1940, serial production began a year later. Many versions of this bomber were produced during the war, including the B-25G (with a 75mm gun in the front of the fuselage), the B-25H (with a 75mm gun and 6 machine guns in the front) and the B-25J (with 8 x 12.7mm machine guns in the front of the fuselage part). B-25s fought primarily in the Pacific and Mediterranean basins. A number of them were transferred to Great Britain and the USSR under the Lend-Lease contract, in USSR they made their debut in the battle at Stalingrad. Since 1943, B-25 bombers have been flown by Polish Squadron No. 305. The B-25 became famous above all for the daring bombing of Tokyo in April 1942 (the famous Doolittle Raid). By the way, a version of the naval bomber PBJ-1H was also developed and produced in series. In it, in order to increase the operating distance. the armament turrets were dismantled, a observation blister was installed in their place, as well as two side shooters' machine guns and 4 machine guns from the sides of the front part of the fuselage. An AN/AGP-23 radar is installed at the end of the right wing, thanks to which the accuracy of firing from the 75 mm cannon is improved.

A fairly large, well-designed and well-detailed model North American B-25J Mitchell "Maid in the Shade" medium bomber that fought in the Pacific conflict region, for intermediate and advanced modellers. The model has a well-detailed cockpit interior, well-detailed engines, chassis and niches, machine guns, bomb hatches and the bombs themselves. And the painting is beautiful - metallic colors, which is made even closer to reality by the print on chalk paper. However, this also has its downside - chalk paper is more difficult to glue, and the shiny metal surface is very willing to be smeared, so You need to work carefully, precisely and accurately - like a micro-surgeon and with rubber gloves.
