The rapid development of aviation during World War I greatly improved the speed, maneuverability and flight range of airplanes. However, in terms of construction, the planes still differed slightly from the Wright brothers' plane. They were made of wood and cloth, and a considerable amount of steel spacers increased durability. But there was one military aircraft, that was very different from its contemporaries. The Junkers D. I was an all-metal construction monoplane. The aircraft structure is based on a frame of thin-walled aluminum tubes, covered with corrugated aluminum sheet. German designer and inventor Hugo Junkers patented this construction back in 1912. By the end of the war, only 41 Junkers D. I copies were produced. Without a doubt, only two events had a major impact on fighter aircraft design during World War I: the invention of the synchronizer and the construction of the all-metal airplane. The further development of fighters was determined by these two events, and as a result H. Junkers became the "father" of the innovative fighter.

A small, uncomplicated, well-designed and richly detailed model airplane for modelers of all experience. Only advanced beginners and modelers with little experience should work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, and this should not be one of the first models of increased complexity, You glue. The publication is equipped with two laser-cut sights.
