Morane - Saulnier MS - 35 EP. 2 “Rypin II” - the French/ Polish scool - training plane

Since 1923, Tadeusz Kowalski, the elder of Rypin, has been promoting the establishment of a branch of the Pre-Gas Defense Organization in Rypin, and this activity quickly became popular in this Polish city. There were educational activities, aircraft modeling groups, and one of the main goals was born to raise funds for the purchase of airplanes, which were collected in 1925, for the then very numerous Polish military aviation. On September 13 of the same year, two Morane - Saulnier MS - 35 EP. 2 aircraft's were purchased, for which PLN 72 000 was paid. The day of the air baptism ceremony and the celebration of their transfer to aviation took place, attended by many prominent military and public figures. Although the weather was not the best, a lot of passengers flew, there were balls in the restaurant, masses were held in the church, consecrated and christened planes were handed over to the Polish Air Force in the stadium, which was temporarily turned into an aerodrome. They have been given the names "Rypin I" and "Rypin II". The planes served until the mid-1930s.

Although not a very sophisticated model, depicting a “Rypin II” aircraft, the parasol-type wing mount and the large number of wires make this model too difficult for beginners. But, if you have a more experienced colleague, who can advise, you can try assembling this airplane model. The unpainted metal parts on the original plane are printed in "metallic" color on model.
