The Mikoyan i Guriewich MIG-23 is a Soviet single-engine fighter with a variable geometry wing and a classic tail. The first flight of the prototype took place in 1967. June 10 and shortly after that serial production of the fighter began, which lasted until 1985. The MIG-23 was clearly influenced by the design of the French "Mirage G", although the MIG-21PD machines were initially tested with a MIG-21-like wing, the R-27-300 engine and RD-36-35 auxiliary starters were mounted at an angle to the vertical in the fuselage, there was a different fuselage. Various versions and variants were created: MIG-23S (MIG 21SM with newer avionics, R-27F2M-300 engine), MIG-23M (improved aerodynamics and structure, new avionics, R-29-300 engine), MIG-23UB (2 - seat variant of the training and combat machine) and the MIG-23MLA. In 1970 an attack aircraft with increased armament MIG-23B was tested, which was an improvement of the S version, and the BM and BK variants were built on its basis. The name of the latter was eventually changed to MIG-27K. In total, about 3 thousand of these fighters were produced. This type of aircraft participated in many conflicts, including the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), Afghanistan (1979-1989) and the Persian Gulf War (1990-1991). They were used by almost all the states of the Warsaw Pact bloc, and are still used in some places.
A beautifully designed and richly detailed medium size model in beautiful camouflage for intermediate to advanced modelers. The interior of the cabin, the chassis, its niches, the engine exhaust nozzle, armament, external detailing are perfectly reproduced in the model, the "mechanism" for changing the wing geometry is designed, the control plates can be made both together with the main ones and separately. There is a small stock of colors (only black). The model reproduces the appearance of the fighter, used by the Czech AF, called "Hell Fighter", and it looks very effective.
