PZL.38 "Wilk" - the prototype of the Polish heavy fighter - ground - attack aircraft, a multi-purpose low-wing aircraft of metal construction. It was planned, that it would be powered by two PZL "Foka II" engines, the expected power of each of which should have reached 420 h. p. The first flight of the prototype took place in 1938. The machine was never put into mass production. Armament was to consist of 4 PWU wz.36 or wz.37 7.92 mm machine guns and 1 FK Model D 20 mm cannon. Work on the PZL.38 "Wilk" began in 1934, when the Polish Air Force requested a new, heavy fighter. Ultimately, it had to be an aircraft, that could destroy enemy bombers (hence the powerful armament), but also remain maneuverable. It was supposed to replace the PZL P.11 fighters. The PZL.38 was also planned to function as a light bomber. The aerodynamic profile of the PZL.37 "Łoś" bomber was used in the work with the new aircraft and it was planned to use new "Foka II" engines. Unfortunately, work on the engines was significantly delayed, which resulted in the use of "Ranger" SV-770B engines of similar power, but much heavier. However, the aircraft with these engines did not reach the expected parameters. The "Foka II" engines were not completed until the start of World War II, which meant, that the PZL.38 "Wilk" did not go into series production either. Only two prototypes were produced in total, one of  them was exhibited at the Paris Salon of Communication and Technology in1940.

A fairly complex, well designed and richly detailed model for intermediate to advanced modelers. True, a model without cabin equipment, with opaque glasses, a fixed chassis, without hanging weapons (model in the flight phase). under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and taking Your time, even a modeler with little experience can stick. Everything, possible in a model of this scale is detailed, control plates separated from the main plates. The model reproduces the appearance of the II prototype, that was shown at the Paris Air Show. It is also possible to make a model with fictitious 111 Fighter Squadron markings, which is more colorful, but there was no such aircraft in reality.
