Based on the experience, gained in combat conditions using the IL-2, the designers, without weakening the aircraft's vital characteristics, greatly improved the shape of the armor box and the thickness of the armor plates and improved the level of crew protection. In April 1944 the Il-10 was submitted for tests and passed them in the same month, showing much better characteristics in practically all indicators, than the Il-2 and Su-6. In August the Il-10 was accepted into the arsenal of the USSR AF and by the end of the year it was planned to produce 100 ground-attack aircraft of this brand every month. Airplanes produced during and after the war at Factory no. 1. in Kuibyshev (1944 - 1946) and no. 18 in Kuibyshev (1944 - 1947). Il-10 was discontinued in 1949. For the first time the new ground-attack aircraft's went into battle in February 1945 in Germany on the Neisse River, while still in the military testing stage, participated in the operation to capture Berlin. Since the end of April 1945 they have been used in the operation to destroy surrounded German units in the Baltic republics region. Even during the war, it was possible to rearm 12 ground-attack aviation regiments with new equipment. These planes were used in large quantities in AF and naval aviation in the Far East campaign. Production of the Il-10 in the USSR ended in 1949 and the post-war modification Il-10M - in 1954. Il-10 was produced in Czechoslovakia under the license and designation "B-33D" until 1954. Removed from the armament of the USSR aviation regiments in the summer of 1956, to be used as training planes until the end of the sixties. Removed from the arsenal of the CSSR AF in 1960.

A medium-sized, well-designed and richly detailed model for intermediate and advanced modelers only. Everything, that can be reproduced in a 1 : 33 scale copy, is detaillzed: cabin interiors, fixed and suspended armament, landing gear and its niches, separated control planes and "working" air brakes, external detailing. Only the engine model is not available. Beautiful and colorful spotted camouflage, large color reserve. Excellent graphic instruction. The model reproduces the aircraft of the 108th Guards ground-attack Aviation Regiment of the USSR, deployed at the airfield of the city Kol in Germany in April 1945.
