I-15 - "fifteenth fighter" "light maneuverable" (nicknamed "Chato" in Spanish "Snub-nosed") - a Soviet single-engine fighter of the 1 1/2-plane scheme, created in 1933 in the office of constructors no. 2 CKB-39, commanded by Soviet aircraft designer Nikolai Polikarpov. The I-15 took to the air for the first time in the autumn (October) of 1933. Serial production started in 1934. Served in the Air Force of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army since 1935. In the years 1934-1939 a total of 384 fighters of this type were produced in the USSR + 237 produced in Spain. Used in wars and armed conflicts in Asia and Europe.

The details of the model in the magazine recreate the fighter I-15 of the 6th Main Fighter Air Squadron of the AF 13 Aviation Brigade of the Republic of Spain, pilot - Lieutenant Igor Kamentin, in which he fought in the Spanish Civil War in 1937, appearance. The model is not complicated and will work well even for modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
