Douglas F3D "Skyknight" (designated F - 10 after 1962) - US all-weather deck fighter - interceptor. The prototype of this plane made its first flight on March 23, 1948. They have been armed with US Army Aviation and US Marine Corps Aviation since 1951. Separate copies were used even in 1970. A total of 265 planes were produced. They were flown on combat missions in the Korean War, where several aerial victories were achieved. A modification, used in the Vietnam War, designed for radio-electronic warfare.
A complex, well designed and slightly detailed model for intermediate to advanced modelers, recreating the appearance of an aircraft from the aircraft carrier CVA - 11 USS "Interpid" in 1954.
